Have a sweet tooth? This event is for you.
Inquirer Lifestyle is launching Best Desserts 4, the latest in Vangie Baga-Reyes’ bestselling series. In the book, she rounds up yet another serving of the Philippines’ sweetest and most indulgent concoctions. It features creations by award-winning culinary artists, experienced home bakers, hotel chefs and more. “This is by far the most extensive and longest list of our best desserts. Our list grows every year because of our innovative bakers,” said Vangie.
Best Desserts 4 highlights all kinds of sugary treats—from cheesecakes, crepes and cookies to pastries, ice cream and all kinds of pies.
The book comes to life at the launch, happening at SMX Convention Center at SM Aura Premier on May 28, 4 pm. “Over 120 desserts will be showcased for sampling,” said Vangie. “There will be 90 chefs and bakers at the event, with some coming all the way from Antipolo, Pampanga and Cebu.” Yes, you won’t just meet the chefs featured in the book—you can taste their specialties too.
“We’re incredulous but happy that Inquirer Lifestyle’s Best Desserts is now on its fourth year, both the book and the much-awaited annual event at SM Aura,” writes Inquirer Lifestyle Editor Thelma Sioson San Juan in the book’s foreword.
Tickets to the event just cost P100 and that entire amount goes to Gota De Leche, a foundation that provides nutritional and medical needs to marginalized children and breastfeeding mothers.
