L’Austral brings French touch to traveling

French Ambassador Nicolas Galey and Capt. David Marionneau hosted a handful of personalities from the diplomatic corps, the travel, tourism and hospitality sectors, and the media to a cocktail on board L’Austral, a five-star yacht under the fleet of the French cruise company Ponant, in Manila.

The event is part of an initiative of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in partnership with Ponant, to promote the image and expertise of France.

“France is often associated with luxury, travel and art de vivre, and these are exactly what the L’Austral offers. Ponant, after all, is a French company that carries the slogan ‘L’Art de voyager,’ or the ‘art of traveling’,” Ambassador Galey said.

Ponant, owner of L’Austral, is bringing French nationals to visit the Philippines.

The French envoy also recognized the contribution of Ponant in bringing more French nationals to discover the islands of the Philippines through its tours.

L’Austral is bringing over 200 travelers on a 13-day cruise through Manila, Coron in Palawan, Sibuyan Island in Romblon, and Cuatro Islands in Leyte. The cruise will then proceed to Indonesia before docking in Australia. –CONTRIBUTED
