What was supposed to be a mistake for buying the wrong lottery ticket got an Indiana couple lucky, as they hit the jackpot prize of around  $703,500 (around P38.1 million) on Tuesday.

Herby Sherhorn intended to buy the $10 in Mega Millions from his local convenience store. When he got home, he realized his mistake as he was given the $10 in Ca$h 5 instead.

“The next morning, I went in and said, ‘I’m sure glad you screwed up,'” Sherhorn said of the moment he won the jackpot.

That mistake made Sherhorn and his wife rich, thanks to the amount of around $700,000 before taxes.

Saying that he and Cori are now “burden-free,” Sherhorn said they plan to renovate their home with their winnings.  /ra
