Telus International Philippines (TIP) hosted their 2018 TIP Town Hall event dubbed “TRIBE” with an all-star Filipino lineup to celebrate their fun and diverse culture.
This year’s event held at the Globe Circuit in Makati on Sunday, Oct. 7, was headlined by music acts Yeng Constantino, Moira dela Torre, Itchyworms, Rocksteddy, Michael Pangilinan, December Avenue and the Joey Revillame Band.
Telus’ team members were treated to non-stop entertainment, food, booze and fun activities. A tribal-themed dance competition was also held with a cash prize worth P100,000.
The Joey Revillame Band opened the show with old, but gold hits like Evanescence’s “Bring Me to Life,” Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing” and Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
Michael Pangilinan serenaded the audience with his original song “Bakit Pa Ba” and 2004 R&B ballad “Weak” by Jojo.
Alternative-rock band December Avenue, on the other hand, performed original songs like “Sa Ngalan ng Pag-ibig” and recently released song “Kung Di Rin Lang Ikaw.”
Singer of famous “Titibo-tibo” Moira Dela Torre sang her own rendition of “Torete” by Moonstar88, new song “Tagu-taguan” and even had a duet with her husband Jason Marvin to the song “Tagpuan.”
Although not officially in the announced lineup, Pop Royalty Yeng Constantino surprised the crowd with Eraserheads hits “Overdrive” and “Pare Ko.” She also performed original songs “Ikaw” and “Hawak Kamay.”
Rocksteddy with vocalist Teddy Corpuz definitely rocked the stage with originals “Ayos Lang Ako” and “Leslie.”
Last, but not the least, Itchyworms whose frontman is Jugs Jugueta performed ‘Sid & Aya (Not A Love Story) original movie soundtrack “Di Na Muli” and their 2008 hit “Gusto Ko Lamang Sa Buhay.”
The company get-together aims to celebrate the success and accomplishments of the company from the past year and to show how it values the work-life balance of their workers.
TIP has been conducting this annual event for 16 years now to also recognize the team members’ contributions to the company. /cbb
