Devotees of St. Padre Pio flocked on Tuesday morning to the Manila Cathedral to see the saint’s heart relic and hear the welcome Mass.

Despite the scorching heat, hundreds of devotees lined up to touch the glass casing where the incorrupt heart of the Catholic saint is placed.

The welcome mass was led by Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo.

St. Pio’s heart relic arrived in the country last Friday evening and was first exposed in Batangas. It was brought to the University of Santo Tomas on Monday for an overnight vigil.
