Mañosa, Kidlat Tahimik, Mojares, Cayabyab, 3 others to be proclaimed new National Artists

President Duterte is set to proclaim the new batch of National Artists tomorrow Oct. 24 in Malacanang.
The new National Artists will come from a list of “nominees” elected by the joint boards of the Cultural Center of the Philippines and National Commission for Culture and the Arts. Living National Artists likewise voted.
Those nominated to be proclaimed as new National Artists are:

1 Francisco Mañosa for Architecture
2 Kidlat Tahimik for Cinema
3 Resil Mojares for Literature
4 Ramon Muzones for Literature (posthumous)
5 Larry Alcala for Visual Arts (posthumous)
6 Ryan Cayabyab for Music
7 Amelia Lapena Bonifacio for Theater
