For Katrina Pallon, a tarot card is a mirror held up against a seeker’s soul, offering a tangible reflection to aid in unraveling the mysteries of their subconscious.

This is what drew the artist to develop a series of paintings in homage to this misunderstood object of the occult, which she is set to conclude with her latest show, “The End of a Cycle,” to be showcased until Nov. 14 at Galerie Joaquin.

The latest collection serves as a follow-up to the painter’s 2016 show, “Lovers, Death, Judgement,” at Art Underground.

“In the hands of a capable and intuitive reader, I believe that they can be used to help achieve clarity, and to explore the pros and cons of different choices that one might make to assess possible outcomes,” Pallon explained. “After all, the cards reflect answers and energies that the seeker already knows within herself or himself.”

Therefore the reader’s job, she said, is to interpret the meaning of the cards in a way that they relate as closely as possible to the seeker’s situation to guide the individual in finding answers.

Katrina Pallon’s “The End of a Cycle” runs until Nov. 14 at Galerie Joaquin at L/3, The Podium, ADB Ave., Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City.
