Innovative health care experience in the metro

It isn’t very often that one likes to get a medical checkup. In fact, many people know that they need it, but when the topic comes up, they don’t want to get one simply because of all the seeming inconveniences that come along with it. There’s the waiting, the intimidating hospital atmosphere, the difficulty of scheduling, the having to go from one department to another just to have all these medical tests done.

But what if health care could be a pleasant experience, and something that can be done like visiting a local coffee shop, or even done together with family or friends, in a place that’s more comfortable and has all the state-of-the-art services needed to do a complete examination.

That’s what Health Cube set out to do when it opened its newest center in the heart of Shaw Boulevard. A sprawling 3,500 square meter facility just opened this year, and the center provides personalized medical services for patients, all in an environment where they would feel right at home. The interiors are meant to welcome, and the staff approach you as if they’re friends ready to take you through the whole process.

“Our vision is to provide innovative outpatient healthcare experiences to patients,” says Dr. Denton Chua, President and CEO of Health Cube. “We believe that by creating a space where people could be less nervous and have things done efficiently, that’s what will make them say that they want to have their checkup done. That’s what will convince to them to finally make that step.”

From specialist consults, laboratory exams, medical imaging, cardiopulmonary studies, and physical therapy; it’s like a medical hospital, and yet like being in your own living room with all your tests just a few steps away. It even houses a 128-Slice CT Scan capable of doing complex examinations, and one of the country’s newest mammogram’s as it does 3D Digital Tomosynthesis which provides more accurate studies. And since all of this is done in an outpatient setup, prices are more affordable and still provides the same professional care.

“Health Cube is actually a play of words, as it also means health to the third power,” Dr Chua explains. “That’s because there are actually three dimensions of care: prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. And we want the center to cover all aspects to give our patients the complete experience.”
