SEOUL—Director Ahn Gil-ho praised EXO member Chanyeol during the press conference in Gangnam today, Nov. 28.
“He is a great actor. Most importantly, he is the best fit in the character of Jung Se-joo. His character grew in the drama,” said Ahn. “He connects all the characters in the story.”
Chanyeol plays the role of Park Shin-hye’s little brother in tVN’s newest drama, “Memories of the Alhambra.” The drama used the element of augmented reality. It is said that it is the first of its kind in a Korean drama. It was written by Song Jae-jung who also wrote the dramas “Nine” and “W”.
Parts of the drama were shot in Alhambra, Spain for one month. It stars Hyun-bin as Yoo Jin-woo, an investment film executive, and Park Shin-hye as Jung Hee-joo, a classical guitar player and hostel owner.
Shin-hye describes the actor as a very passionate actor. She said, “He holds the key in the story and I look forward to seeing him.”
Chanyeol also celebrated his birthday yesterday.
“Memories of the Alhambra” will be available on Netflix on Saturday, Dec. 1 in the Philippines one hour after broadcast
