In the megapolis that is Metro Manila, pockets of greenery are a rarity. Most condo dwellers find their views hindered by other high-rises. To show a contrast, developer Shang Properties is building a 50-story residential condominium that offers unobstructed vistas of the Wack-Wack Golf Course and Country Club.

To rise in 2023, the Shang Residences Wack-Wack is being marketed as an urban luxury oasis where residents can savor greenery and peace but still remain close to the central business district.

The project will rise on Wack-Wack Road, a 12-minute or 3-kilometer drive to Shangri-La Plaza Mall and the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel.

In this luxury condo, the smallest unit is 81 square meters which fetches P17.6 million to P19.5 million, while the three-bedroom unit costs P54 million to P61 million. The units will a have a base cost of over P200,000 per square meter.

The development pitches the quality of life. There is no retail in the condominium so that residents enjoy absolute privacy. As a low-density condominium, there are 460 units and no additional towers. The number of units decreases as the floors go up. Lower floors have 10 units per floor while the higher ones will have four to six units per level, all of which have generous balconies.

Residents can enjoy the amenities such as the landscaped lap pool and the kiddie pool, gym with state-of-the-art equipment and scenic views, studio for yoga and ballet, club lounge with a resort feel, and function rooms of Shangri-La hotel standards.

Quality finishes

Quality finishes are used. The wood laminate flooring, used in the open plan area and bedroom floors, is resistant to scratches and other impacts. The bathroom has hard-wearing and moisture-resistant porcelain tiles, and comes with a polished marble vanity countertop.

The kitchen has a painted glass backsplash, European kitchen cabinets and quartz reconstituted stone on the countertops. Reconstituted stone is from real stone that is crushed and adhered with acrylic resin for a high-performance but low-maintenance surface.

Durable homogenous tiles will be laid on the balcony floor. In the one-bedroom unit, the utility area can be converted into a multipurpose room.

The 140-sq-m two-bedroom unit includes a walk-in closet in the master bedroom, a bathtub in the master bathroom and floor-to-ceiling windows.

The public areas echo the ambience and service of the Shangri-La hotel. A leasing group can rent out your condo for you.

There are a 24-hour security, concierge, management service and engineering to be provided. Aside from the round-the-clock security, there are CCTV monitoring systems in public places, magnetic lock access cards for residential and car park elevators, and centralized fire detection and alarm system and fire protection. —CONTRIBUTED
