MANILA, Philippines — “Keep me in your prayers, laban tayo Philippines!”

This was Miss Universe Philippines 2018 Catriona Gray’s statement in her recent video “Rise” featuring natural beaches on Gigantes Islands, or Islas de Gigantes, in Iloilo.

Her Facebook post shows the beauty queen was enjoying stunning landscapes on the islands, including white sand beaches and natural rock formations.

Just days before the Miss Universe 2018 coronation night, Gray received accolades from netizens and celebrities due to her performance in the pageant’s preliminary competition.

Her “lava walk” and “slow-mo” turn during the evening gown and swimsuit competition was a hit.

The next Miss Universe will be crowned on Dec. 17 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. /atm
