A man from North Carolina said that his kids’ bathroom break led him to win $150,000 (almost P8 million).
Travis Porch told Virginia lottery official on Sunday that they were on a road trip to look at the oceanfront Christmas lights in Virginia beach. While on the trip, his kids asked him to stop so they could go to a restroom.
Porch then visited a local shop to buy a pair of scratch-off tickets. His first ticket won him $15 (almost P800). However, he did not expect his second ticket would lead him to a big win.
When asked what he would do with his winnings, Porch said it would go into savings, while some might be used to pay off his mortgage.
Lottery officials said that Porch was only the second person to claim the $150,000 jackpot prize. They added that two more tickets of the amount remained unclaimed. /ra
