Let this be your merriest Christmas ever

Renee Puno and Edrix Crisologo

Your mantra for the week: “I love Christmas and Christmas loves me in return a thousandfold.”

This Christmas, it is good to remember that there are moments in life which you will consider unpleasant or tragic. But then they are just labels—they are your judgments.

At this moment, have faith in the way things are, exactly the way they are, for it is God’s expression. Love the world as you love yourself and you will love all things.

Our judgments tell us that there are people in turmoil, but then, as we have faith in the way things are, we can contemplate that these people are, even now, returning to the Light.

In the silence, listen to the sounds of the Universe, sounds that you do not hear when you go through the hustle and bustle of life. Choose the sounds that you would like to hear, for you have a choice.

There are sounds that will tell you that your body is perfect despite appearances. If you were made in the image and likeness of God, it is whole and perfect. No matter what disease there may be, as you change your consciousness, your body changes with it. As you stop listening to the sounds of dis-ease, disturbances and hurts, your body responds accordingly.

Listen to the sounds that you like to hear this season, the Christmas sounds that tell you, “You are prospering. Every day you are growing, you are handling your finances more efficiently and new channels of prosperity are opening up for you.” Even when there seems to be chaos, it is only patriotism that is being born, and the peacemakers of the world come forth to bring back the peace.

Yes, in this season, you are entitled to the most loving relationships because you know how to forgive, you know how to understand and you know how to reach out.

And in the quietness of your soul, you will hear God’s voice say, “You are my beloved child, you are made in my image and my likeness. Know you are always safe and secure, know that there is nothing to fear in life.

“For as you turn to Me, you will know that with Me all things are possible, that I only desire the very best for you. But then, you must make the choice, for you have that freedom and I shall always be your guide, reminding you that the Christ that was in Jesus is also in you.”

Let this be your merriest Christmas ever!

Virginia and Gerry Lane

Real meaning of Christmas

Last week, four generations of the Tantoco clan gathered, along with close friends, for a Christmas celebration at Ambassador Bienvenido Tantoco’s residence.

Starting with a Christmas Mass, the gathering brings to mind the real meaning of Christmas—solidarity, goodwill and sincere appreciation of each other’s presence. One wishes it were Christmas every day for everyone.

Christmas in Manila

Virginia and Gerry Lane are usually away for Christmas—they are either in Sydney where they have a second home, or in their hotel in Ireland.

But this time, they received guests at the poolside of the Cameron Tower, Essensa East Forbes in BGC, with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The scene may be described like an ad many decades ago, “Debbie Reynolds entertains.”

Proud of Catriona Gray

From former Bb. Pilipinas Universe Carol Masibay Garcia comes this message about 2018 Miss Universe Catriona Gray’s triumph: “Hi George, congratulations to your friend Catriona Gray. We are proud of her… We met her two years ago in that Italian restaurant, when you brought her to our table… So deserving to be the new Miss Universe!”

From the start, Catriona looked like a winner. The rest of the candidates appeared like they needed more practice, compared to Catriona’s flawless performance. Hooray for the Philippines!

Wedding of the season

Next week, expect the grandest wedding of the season. Renee Puno, only daughter of Ann and Rene Puno, will marry young lawyer Edrix Crisologo, son of Quezon City 1st District Rep. Vincent and Rita Crisologo, at Saint James the Great in Ayala Alabang. Among the 20 principal sponsors include Chavit Singson.

Follow Dr. George on Facebook Live every Sunday, 7 p.m.; tune in to Positive Session every Saturday, 9-10 p.m., on DWIZ 882 AM radio.
