Heart Evangelista-Escudero recently traveled to Italy to visit the heart and home of the global luxury fashion brand Salvatore Ferragamo.

The style icon and artist attended the brand’s fashion show at Milan Fashion Week. She also visited the Ferragamo Museum in Florence.

Heart joined other star-guests of the brand, such as South Korean actress and singer Krystal Jung, Hollywood actors Julianne Moore and Armie Hammer, and style purveyors Hannah Quinlivan, Ellie Bamber and Philippa Coulthard.

The Spring-Summer 2019 collection is a celebration of craftsmanship and innovative design, featuring pieces anchored on a more utilitarian trend.

There were casual suits and romantic silhouettes in neutral hues, accentuated with bolder colors.

Salvatore Ferragamo is a brand close to Heart. “I grew up familiar with Ferragamo because my mom and lola owned pieces,” she says. “I remember receiving my first pair of flats from my mom when I was in my teens. Recently, I gave my stepdaughter her first pair. So you could say I have a unique bond with the brand.”

Heart, dubbed as local cinema’s modern-day Audrey Hepburn, says she loves the collection’s chic and timeless designs, which fit her style and personality.

More than the dresses and shoes, however, she is most drawn to the bags.

“The shape of Ferragamo bags is very chic and can easily transition from day to night. They’re practical and versatile as they are elegant so you can wear them with almost anything,” she says.

On looking impeccably dressed, she says, “I think today, rules in fashion no longer apply. It’s just how you carry yourself. If you feel good, it’ll look good. It’s how you style it and carry it with confidence. Be yourself and your confidence will shine through 100 percent.”
