Throughout her years with Céline, Pheobe Philo was known for making clothes for “real women” and for creating agenda-setting designs that inspired the rest of the fashion industry. This has gained her an avid following of women worldwide who have identified themselves as Philophiles.
Philo’s departure from Céline after a 10-year tenure has sparked a global desire for her designs, especially as her successor Hedi Slimane has chosen to completely rebrand the French label moving forward.
With this, Archives d’homme et femme—the discount store of Homme et Femme—released its past season Céline items through a micro-website celinebyphoebetoown.com, which went live beginning Dec. 21.
The website began with a release of Spring/Summer 2011 to Fall/Winter 13, including pieces seen on on the runway.
Succeeding seasons designed by Philo will be made available in batches following the initial release.
