Prepping for parties can be daunting, especially if you have a lot of guests. Make it easy and fun with quick pick-and-bite offerings.

Here’s a refreshing treat for your guests in any kind of gathering.

Fancy fruit cups

Serves 8-10

You will need:

Small acrylic or plastic cups for serving
Decorative cocktail toothpicks/skewers

Ingredients:
2 c grapes
2 c melon
2 c watermelon
2 c papaya
Juice of 1-2 whole lemons
1½ to 2 c of Manille Liqueur de Calamansi
¾ c sugar
1 c water

You can substitute choice of fruits or even use canned or bottled fruits.

Tiny paper cups are also an alternative to plastic cups.

Preparation:

Cut fruits into bite-size cubes or your desired shape.

Place all the fruits in a bowl.

Pour in the juice of
fresh lemons, the sugar, the
water and the Manille Liqueur
de Calamansi.

Mix and coat the fruits with the marinade. Refrigerate for two hours.

Arrange the cutup fruits on the cocktail picks in an orderly manner. A good tip would be to put denser fruits last so they hold everything together.

If you do this in advance, place the assembled fruit picks in the refrigerator so they remain cool.
