LOOK: Japanese traditional midwinter dip for good health

TOKYO — More than a hundred people take a midwinter dip known as the annual kanchu suiyoku, at Teppozu Inari Shrine in Chuo Ward, Tokyo, on Sunday. The 105 people, ranging in age from 9 to 83, prayed for their good health while immersed chest-deep in a tub about 5 meters in diameter with two huge floating icicles that was set up at the shrine.
