Decorative glass sleeves

Decorative glass sleeves
Go wild with your use of trim.

The festive holiday decor has come down, but you can start 2019 right with bright and happy ideas.

The weather is still wonderfully cool to have beverages that may be literally too hot to handle, so we’ve come up with these glass sleeves that make them easy on the fingers and on the eyes.

These decorative sleeves are great protection for hot beverages and work as nonslip grips, as well.

Felt and trim are your basic materials.

We used:

A glass tumbler

Strip of decorative pompom trim (craft/party or dress shops like Morning Glory in Divisoria)

Felt cloth

Scissors

Double-sided tape

  1. Measure around the glass and cut the felt cloth to fit at a width of about four inches. This will serve as the base or background for the rest.
  2. Secure it on the glass with the double-sided tape.
  3. Measure the trims also to the length around the glass.
  4. Secure the trims on top of the felt cloth with double-sided tape.

Tip: You can go as wild and as subdued as you want with your trims. This can even be a fun party activity for all ages.
