Taiwan towns roaming tourism promotion in Cebu, join to play and win prizes!

There are 246,641 Taiwanese people traveled to the Philippines in 2018, a 4.27% growth compared to the previous year, according to Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines (TECO). As the Philippines have the 6th most visitors from Taiwan, there were 419,105 Taiwan visitors from the Philippines, grew by 44.13% compared to the previous year. To encourage tourism in Taiwan, Taiwan Tourism Bureau invited the tourism industry to promote the business in the Philippines. On February 22 there will be a promotion in Cebu “the Year of Taiwan Small Town Ramble”, dedicated business to business, for both traveling industry of Taiwan and Cebu to facilitate mutual business. On the event, travel packages focused on Taiwan small towns will be presented to Cebu travel agents to help attract potential customers and further fortify mutual partnerships of Taiwan and the Philippines.

The promotion is to be held in Bai Hotel, Cebu, expecting to gather 60 local travel agencies, and 10 from Taiwan. Apart from face-to-face business meetings, a brief update of Taiwan tourism resources will also be presented by Taiwan tourism authority. Through meet-and-match, the travel industry is expected to be enhanced between the two countries.

On February 23, at the ground floor square of SM City Cebu, the Taiwan Towns Roaming B2C Tourism Promotion will be showcasing authentic Taiwan small town decorated stalls, little games such as ring toss, pinball, beanbag, stand bottle, etc. Visitors will have chance to win pearl milk tea and other prizes. Furthermore, cookies from Taiwanese tourism factory “Taiwan Yogurt Cookie Academy” and Yilan specialty snacks provided by Feng Chun Villa are waiting for visitors to taste. Taiwan Host Association also brings the beauty and fun of Tainan as well as Kinmen’s specialty to Cebu. The Filipinos are welcomed to enjoy the fun and the food in Taiwan small towns, explore the charm of Taiwan local places.

All-day programs on main stage invite the public to come onto the stage for matches and watch videos to win prizes. The event is open all day for experiencing Taiwan local specialties, and travel packages are available on the promotion event through airline companies and travel agencies’ stalls for those who are interested in traveling to Taiwan.

To encourage the Filipinos to travel to Taiwan, limited gifts are redeemable at the reception of Taiwan Tourism Bureau for those who purchase tour package or “flight & hotel packages” on the event.

Just don’t forget to pass by the Taiwan Tourism Information Center to redeem exclusive freebies with a round-trip electronic ticket and a copy of two-night accommodation.
