What a time to be alive–our favorite sarcastic teen Daria is getting a reboot according to MTV. The upcoming series, entitled Darie and Jodie, will feature Daria Morgendorffer and her friend Jodie Landon.
The show will be developed by Grace Edwards who is known for her work on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Inside Amy Schumer. MTV president Chris McCarthy let us in on more scoops, “The story she wants to tell of Daria is different, it’s about Daria and Jodie and two close friends taking on the world today and what’s happening in our culture at large.”

Praised for its blunt, cynical take on cultures, it’s become a revolutionary show especially for women. In an age where the youth have become very vocal, perhaps it’s about time that the show gets a reboot. Get ready for dry humor, savagery, and unpopular opinions about today’s ridiculous times. It would be like reading your best friend’s diary or scrolling through Twitter.
The reboot will be part of a new MTV Studios, focused on reviving good old TV shows. Alongside this will be “The Real World,” “MADE” and “Aeon Flux.”
