With numerous online challenges that netizens participate in, a new one comes along, but this time, the challenge aims to go beyond making people laugh or share videos and photos. Instead, it encourages netizens to actually go out of their rooms and take action by helping clean up the environment.

“#ChallengeForChange Let it be Trending!” says the Facebook page “We Don’t Deserve This Planet” in its series of posts, showcasing photos of netizens who take part in environment-conscious challenges.

“Here is a New #Challenge for all. Take a photo of an area that Needs some Cleaning or Maintenance, Then Take a Photo after you Have Done Something about it, and Post it,” the challenge stated.

A lot of the posts which took on the challenge showed Filipinos from different parts of the country. Here are some of them:

(Sta. Peregrina High School, Pulilan, Bulacan)

(Ranmar Justine Flores Enriquez of Biñan City, Laguna)

The page handlers told INQUIRER.net that through the challenge, they want to encourage people to clean up and eventually give tips on how to recycle.

“We are working for [Mother Earth], to wake up people on climate change and global extinction of millions of species and animals,” the group said. JB
