‘Apropiación,’ 3rd in Diskurso.com exhibit series, opens March 19

J Studio will host the works of 13 Filipino artists

MANILA, Philippines — Diskurso.com, an online Filipino art magazine, will launch on Tuesday, March 19, “Apropiación,” the third in its series of exhibits under its curatorial platform called “The Art Piece as a Closed Text.”

“Apropiación” brings together the works of 13 artists — Jonathan Benitez, Mideo M. Cruz, Simkin de Pio, Jojo De Veyra, Juliet Lea, Noli Principe Manalang, Jason Moss, Alwin Reamillo, Jon Red, Raul G. Rodriguez, Angelo Valmoria Roxas, Brian Sergio, and Clairelynn Uy.

The exhibit is co-curated by Jojo Soria de Veyra, editor-in-chief of Diskurso.com, and installation art stalwart Alwin Reamillo.

The series of exhibits started with “Allegoria I,” which ran from March 15 to April 12, 2018, at AltroMondo Arte Contemporanea, at Greenbelt 5 in Makati.

That was followed by “Religioso/Espiritual,” which ran from Feb. 16 to March 9, 2019, at J Studio at the La Fuerza Plaza in Makati.

This third exhibit will also be hosted at J Studio, which is located at Gate 1, Pasillo 18, La Fuerza Plaza, 2241 Chino Roces Avenue, Makati.

The opening reception will start at 6:00 p.m.

The exhibit will run until April 5. /atm
