Why it’s not advisable to buy antiques or a secondhand car

The Akashic Record is difficult to explain to the Western scientific and materialistic mind, because it can neither be accessed or read by the ordinary human senses, nor by any scientific instrument. It exists not on the physical plane, but on the subtle etheric level.

Sometimes called the “Book of Life” or “God’s Book of Remembrance,” the Akashic Record contains everything that a person has thought, felt, intended, desired or done on earth from birth to death. It has been likened to the “universe’s super computer system that acts as the central storehouse of all information for every individual who has ever lived on earth.”

The American psychic, mystic and prophet Edgar Cayce explains that the Akashic Record is “information written in the skein of time and space.”

Here’s what he said about the Akashic Record in one of his more than 14,500 psychic readings while in a trance:

“Upon time and space is written the thoughts, the deeds, the activities of an entity… according to what the entity’s ideal is. Hence it has often been called God’s Book of Remembrance … in opening this for the entity, the experience may be one of helplessness and hopefulness.” (Reading 1650-1)

Subconscious mind

Cayce is not a medium or a channel in the ordinary sense. When he was asked where he obtained the information he gave about any given subject, he replied that he got them from a person’s subconscious mind and from the Akashic Record, not from any spirit or entity. He said he did not communicate with spirits.

The Akashic record is probably what the Christian religion refers to as the “Book of Life” or “God’s Book of Remembrance.” In Christian religion, when a person dies, and before he gets admitted to enter heaven, St. Peter, as the gatekeeper, consults what is called the Book of Life which contains a record of what a person has done with his or her life on earth.

Based on the contents of that book, the newly departed either enters the heavenly kingdom or is directed elsewhere. Only the just can enter the gates of heaven. The evil ones go to hell, according to Christian belief.

Sensitive person

What is the connection then between the Akashic Record and psychometry, antiques and contagion? As pointed out, everything that happens to us—every thought, desire, intention and emotion we have had—is contained in the Akashic Record and can be read by a person sensitive or attuned to it. Everything we touch leaves an imprint of ourselves on that object or place. It is possible to recall or read the story of what happened in a certain place by reading its Akashic Record.

A story I once read is appropriate to relate here. In a certain room of a building, two men quarreled and argued heatedly one morning. They even came close to punching each other.

In the afternoon, when there were no more people in the room, a woman with her 3- or 4-year-old daughter in tow were walking happily toward the same room. The child was even humming a happy tune.

But as soon as they entered the room where the two men had argued, the child suddenly started crying for no apparent reason. The mother was bewildered and could not understand the sudden change of mood of her daughter. She did not stop crying until she was taken out of the room.

What happened was, the sensitive child felt the negative emotions left in that room by the two men who had quarreled violently that morning. The child could not have known about the incident. She did not need to be told, she felt the strong emotion and negative energy of the quarrelling men. It was embedded in the Akashic Record of the place.

Akasha

According to Indian Yogi philosophy, the Akasha is the substratum of all matter. If we reduce everything in the universe to its ultimate component, what would be left is the Akasha. Within the Akasha is recorded everything that happened in its presence. And this record is a permanent one. You cannot erase it.

As the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam put it: “The moving finger writes, and having writ, moves on; nor all your piety nor wit shall live it back to cancel half a line, nor all your tears wash out a word of it.”

The presence and existence of the Akashic Record explains why we can get information about a person by holding or touching an object belonging to him or her, or why relics of saints or holy persons are revered by the church.

It explains why it is not advisable to bring antiques into your house or to buy a secondhand car, if you do not know the history of that antique or car.

It explains why certain places or houses radiate or emit either positive or negative energy and why certain roads become accident-prone.

It explains why the legendary “curse of the pharaoh,” which allegedly killed those who desecrated their tomb, may not really be superstition but fact. It’s also why certain people can read the history of what happened in a place without having been there.

The Akashic Record is indeed The Book of Life or God’s Book of Remembrance—permanent, immutable and inalienable. It contains complete information of what happened on Earth and its inhabitants from the Big Bang.

As Jesus Christ said, “Everything that is hidden will be revealed.”
