Visit the Sound Stations to play and learn about the sounds of the ocean at various unique activity hotspots. Make some noise and see the positive effects it can have on marine life at Sound Reactive TV. Recreate the sounds of fish and learn how a noisy reef is a healthy one at the Healthy Reef Installation, and experience how fish feel when underwater blasting and drilling takes place at Sound Box Blasting. Finally, experience the Celebration of Sound, a percussion-based live performance featuring song, puppetry, and upcycled instruments.
This event is just one of the many great things to see at the S.E.A. Aquarium though. After all, its marine realm is home to more than 100,000 marine animals of over 1,000 species, across 50 different habitats. Take your time to explore this vast world and appreciate the beauty of these wonderful animals.
If your family is big on conservation, you’ll be glad to know that the Aquarium is the home of Guardians of the S.E.A.A., which supports conservation research, education and public engagement efforts to protect the marine environment. ‘No Straws – Save Marine Life’, which saw the phasing out of plastic straws resort-wide and eliminated over three million straws a year, and the meaningful ‘Save The Irrawaddy Dolphin Project’ are just two of the group’s initiatives.
