Moms are busy. I should know, as I have three kids. Between them and my job, my days usually start early and finish late. I also find myself constantly in between engagements.
There’s not a lot of time I can allocate for myself. I find that this is true for everyone, mom or not. We are all doing things for other people. We are all moving forward with our lives.
This is why a spa at home is the best. When I have five to 10 minutes to spare, I have a set of products that helps me look refreshed.
Recently, I found myself at home for an hour between a meeting and a dinner engagement. It was enough time for me to settle a bit and get changed so I grabbed my home spa kit, with all the products I found at Beauty Bar.
Clean start
I start off by washing my face. After a long day, your skin needs a break. Pollution and toxins can build up quickly on your face. It’s best to start over and after your self-treatment, reapply your makeup.
I reach for the Fancy Handy Fresh Face Vulcan Cleanser before anything else. It contains volcanic particles that exfoliate your skin. It also helps minimize pores.
Next, I do my masks starting with Patchology. The company started 10 years ago, developing patch technologies for effective skincare. I like their Wink & A Kiss FlashPatch 5 Minute Hydrogels. This duo helps revive your under-eye area. It relieves puffiness, fatigue and dryness wth caffeine and hydrolyzed collagen. The lip mask makes them soft and kissable. No dry lips!
For the rest of my face, I use the 23.5°N Pineapple Exfoliating Gel Mask. It has pineapple enzyme frozen crystal to exfoliate the skin. If you have more time, you can leave it on your skin for 10 minutes to leave it supple.
After refreshing the skin, I seal it all in with The Inkey List Zinc Face Moisturizer. I believe you will like The Inkey List as it offers no-frills products that are all about effective ingredients. This Zinc Face Moisturizer protects the skin and doesn’t pill. This makes for a good makeup primer. So when you finish this home spa, your skin is ready for makeup once again.
