Fun with table runners

Table runners

Experiment with table runners by taking them to great lengths.

Instead of just placing them in the traditional manner in the middle of your dining table, use them to anchor seating as you would with placemats.

Below are some examples of how to extend their use:

Placing them at the center of the table creates a focal point. Table runners frame what you have in the middle and also fill the void of a big plain surface. It’s a good accessory to have, but investing in a few more can make you more creative.
Laid across the table from one seat to another, they can be a great substitute for placemats.
Take them lengthwise and crosswise, or experiment with a crisscrossing pattern.
