Ricardo Preto makes the ethnic so contemporary

Wraparound dress with Igorot-print pocket details

Rustan’s and Portuguese designer Ricardo Preto collaborate in U My Philippines, an entire collection proudly made in the Philippines.

The line consists of relaxed silhouettes of maxi dresses, skirts and blouses with accents of indigenous ethnic fabrics and prints, perfect for both dress-down and dress-up occasions.

These pieces go beyond seasons.

In a previous interview with Lifestyle, Preto said that he wanted clothes to have longevity, clothes that stay in one’s wardrobe beyond a season.

Preto’s eponymous collections has been available at Rustan’s since 2016.

Lifestyle shot at the newly opened Siama Surf in Sorsogon. The contemporary and modern architecture by Milo Naval became the perfect backdrop for the U collection.
