Beauty trend: Old Hollywood glam feat. Sarah Lahbati

We’re quickly inching toward 2020 and safe to say, supposedly “perfect” brows that look like they’ve been cut out from a sticker book using an X-Acto knife will be left in peace in the annals of the late 2010’s.

Gone are the days when you have to max out an entire brow palette in one sitting before heading out. After a long, lonely life in the shadows, pun intended, strands of brow hairs are once again seeing the light of day.

However, that doesn’t mean that aspirations for old world glamour are out the window. And by old world I mean ancient Egypt, or at least ancient Egypt insofar as Elizabeth Taylor is Cleopatra.

Case in point: un-overdone brows are key to Sarah Lahbati’s otherwise dramatic, jet black winged liner. You’re perilously treading drag queen territory with heavy-handed, Youtube guru brows of yore.

Notice the subtlest swath of peach blush that perfectly counterpoints her pale mint outfit? That’s one expert move if there ever was one. —JG
