New Cebu lifestyle store has good finds from Visayas, Mindanao

Philip Rodriguez curates them, from Bantayan women’s furniture to earrings of recycled material Cebu’s top fashion designer Philip Rodriguez has opened a home and lifestyle store.

Nest, at 38 Gorordo Avenue near Cebu Business Park, is a collaboration with Rodriguez’s niece, Patrice Tatiana Uytengsu, who shows clothes she has designed.

Nest is a one-stop store with a good range of lifestyle picks curated by Rodriguez, from all over Visayas and Mindanao, and a few from Luzon. Among the finds from Luzon are the Gifts & Graces artisan products by communities supported by the fair-trade foundation.

Nest is one of the biggest lifestyle stores in Cebu. It follows the growing trend in Metro Manila where stores of home objects and fashion are curated by their owners known for their good taste and keen eye for design.

Nest has good choices of houseware, including woven baskets from the Visayas, chairs, lamps, vases and other décor.
