Twenty actors, three musicians, two directors and 10 stage management and show technicians will be flying to Manila for the shows.
‘MACBETH’
To stage “Macbeth” in Manila, they will be bringing 20 swords, 8 daggers, 4 flaming torches and 10 liters of stage blood (“Blood will have blood” indeed).
To play Macbeth, Alex Avery has to wear a leather and metal armor that weighs 10 kilograms.
Before every performance, the cast rehearses each fight at least twice: once in slow motion and again at performance speed. (And they have a fight director!)
‘A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM’
There are 10 fairies in the show including Puck.
Maria Gray, who plays First Fairy, is an aerial artist. She is also the movement director for “Macbeth” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” She will be bringing her own acrobatic silks with her to Manila and she and other cast members will be performing way above the heads of the audience.
The cast rehearses all the stunts, climbs and aerial routines before every performance.
