Privileges, perks for Singapore Airlines frequent travelers

Good news for travelers who always fly via Singapore Airlines (SIA).

EastWest has partnered with KrisFlyer, SIA’s frequent flyer program, to launch a new premium credit card: the EastWest Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Mastercard.

The teamup was formally announced at the Shangri-La at the Fort grand ballroom. It was a well-attended affair. Representatives from EastWest and SIA, and other VIPs, gathered and enjoyed a sumptuous meal with Lea Salonga as special guest performer.

Among the guests were Singapore Ambassador to the Philippines Gerard Ho, SIA VP for loyalty marketing Ryan Pua, SIA regional VP for Southeast Asia WK Lim, EastWest VP consumer lending cluster service delivery head Paolo Salcedo, Mastercard Philippines director for account management Chris Paraiso, and EastWest FVP and consumer lending cluster marketing and sales head Patrick Dennis Solosa.

Likewise present were Singapore Embassy deputy chief of mission and counselor Zhou Suli, SIA regional marketing manager for Southeast Asia Jeff Wang, and SIA KrisFlyer partnerships manager Wong Qwee Lymm.

Triple miles

The credit card is available in two types: Platinum and World. Cardholders earn miles from physical store and online purchases.

With the card, Filipino travelers also earn up to triple KrisFlyer miles when they buy tickets from SIA, or use the card for overseas expenses.

Platinum cardholders also enjoy extra perks, such as twice-a-year free access to over 1,200 Priority Pass airport lounges worldwide, free travel inconvenience benefits, and a low foreign currency exchange rate of 1.70 percent.

Cardholders likewise have access to a global concierge services that assist in hotel and restaurant reservations, flower and gift delivery, car rentals, limousine reservations, salon reservations, courier services, among others, with Mastercard Travel and Lifestyle Services.
