Time is the most precious commodity. It cannot be bought, but we have full control over how it is spent.
Time management has always been a challenge for me. Attending several events a day can be stressful, but I show up even if I’m a couple of hours late.
I was probably the last guest to arrive at the #RSVPLifestyleAsia luncheon at Pinot Restaurant. We were there to support Lifestyle Asia August cover girl Charmaine Lagman. The delicious five-course menu was elegantly paired with Cloudy Bay wines.
The magazine issue includes Charmaine’s beauty secrets and contented life. Charmaine’s inner glow comes from her good heart and caring character. Plus, she always supports the Red Charity Gala (RCG). Last year, she won the auction bid for a Gorenje special edition Volkswagen Fridge and a Viking oven cooktop.
With upcoming multiple trips to Europe, I am working overtime for this year’s RCG. Now on its 11th year, it is constantly setting the bar in promoting Philippine fashion and generating charitable funds for the Philippine Red Cross and the Assumption HS ’81 Foundation.
New partner
RCG will be held Oct. 12 at Shangri-La at the Fort. Aside from our annual major sponsors like Bench, Megaworld, Globe and Sunlife, we are happy to announce our newest partner, IAM Worldwide.
IAM Worldwide is an up-and-coming networking company whose purpose is to bring real change to people’s total well-being. Its objective is to enrich lives by providing the best business opportunities, and to be at the forefront of pushing world-class quality products.
Attending the gala with IAM Worldwide leaders was their newest brand ambassador, Heart Evangelista. IAM Worldwide executives led by VP Aika Lorraine Uy and president Allen Marvin Eder were at the signing event at Manila House to welcome Heart to the team.
Days after signing up Heart, the IAM Worldwide team had another reason to celebrate with awards and citations they received from the Asian Networkers Convention and Expo.
Aika was named Business Leader of the Year 2019, while Allen received the Vision Excellence Award 2019.
Joanna Mañego received the Best New Company Award 2019 on behalf of IAM Worldwide Corp., while Precious Grace Capili and Hermelino Razon bagged the Best Leaders of the Year Award.
For the second year in a row, Ultherapy has sponsored RCG, providing several treatment packages. The revolutionary antiaging treatment that tightens and lifts the face using Microfocused Ultrasound with visualization technology is effective, especially for me.
Last year, Dr. Issa Cellona of Skincell Advanced Aesthetic Clinics skillfully did my Ultherapy treatment and I was so pleased. Yes, there was some pain, ladies, but it was tolerable and, for vanity, it was worth it! I am scheduled for another, since Utherapy is a yearly treatment. It is the only noninvasive treatment cleared by the Food and Drug Administration for lifting the skin on the neck, chin and brow, and improving lines and wrinkles.
This year, Merz, as leading provider of Ultherapy in the Philippines, awarded the Belo Medical Group the Grand Champion award. It is given to the clinic with the highest number of Ultherapy treatments done from August 2018 to June 2019. Founder Dr. Vicki Belo personally received the award.
‘Ultherapy for 2’
Merz, a pioneer in the medical aesthetic industry for over 110 years, recently held its second annual Tala Awards at Shangri-La at the Fort. The ceremony honors Merz’s outstanding local partner clinics carrying its products.
Belo endorsers Lucy Torres- Gomez and Richard Gomez were also introduced as the latest faces of Ultherapy, ambassadors for the “Ultherapy for 2” campaign.
The Belo Group invited celebrities and influencers, all of whom have undergone Belo Ulthera, to join the celebration: Rhian Ramos, Camille Co, Arisse De Santos, Nicole Hernandez, Georgia Schultz, Xandra Rocha and Heaven Peralejo. The newest endorsers of Belo Ulthera for Men, Alden Richards and Albert Martinez, were in attendance, as well.
Apart from RCG, I also support Ballet Philippines (BP). Celebrating its 50th season, BP is mounting the most highly anticipated “Swan Lake” performance in Manila. Evgeny Ivanchenko, an Honoured Artist of Russia (2010) and principal dancer of Mariinsky Ballet (Kirov Ballet), joins first soloist Elena Evseeva. They will play the lead roles of Prince Siegfried, and the Swan Queen Odette and the evil Odile, during the gala night Aug. 30, 8 p.m. and consecutive evening performance Aug. 31, 7 p.m. at the Main Theater of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP).
After these first two evening performances, the Philippines’ very own Denise Parungao and Jemima Reyes will play Odette and Odile with partners Eugene Obille and Victor Maguad as Prince Siegfried, and Ronelson Yadao as Baron Von Rothbart.
BP’s “Swan Lake” runs Aug. 30-Sept. 8 at the CCP Main Theater. Get your tickets at TicketWorld (tel. 8919999), CCP Box Office (tel. 8323704), or BP box office (tel. 5511003). Enjoy 15-percent savings when you use your RCBC Credit Card.
