VIDEO: Lovi Poe on why you should start early when it comes to skincare

On Ria Recommends, I always try to experiment with things that are new to me. It’s not just when I try new beauty products or fashion trends I write about; it’s also about playing around in this online space.  In this episode, I meet someone new: Lovi Poe!

My segment “Conversations with…” has always been a place to talk with today’s creatives and insiders. It’s how I’ve met interesting people and share their new projects. Maggie Wilson on Casa Consunji, Happy Ongpauco-Tiu on cooking at home, Nadine Lustre on her fashion instincts. Recently, I’ve decided to switch it up a bit with some fun games which are staples in the YouTube community. That’s why we’ve got a “This or That” challenge with Lovi Poe.

We talked about fashion since Lovi is always part of “Most Stylish” lists. “Sometimes I still kind of find it surprising that I’m part of the fashionable women here in the Philippines,” Lovi says. But she’s learned how style is all about learning more about your personality and being comfortable with it. “I grew up dressing ‘baduy.’ I guess as time goes by, you develop your personality, and you know more about yourself. I guess it’s about being comfortable when it comes to fashion. ”

We talked about eyeliner or blush, and cologne or perfume, I got to uncover some of Lovi’s beauty secrets. She’s #BeloBaby and gets Revlite treatments twice a month at the Belo Medical Group. She also never fails to do her nightly skincare routine before going to bed. And this is regardless of how tired she is from a big workday that can mean shoots, meetings, and tapings regularly.

She also talks about how she advises young girls to start early in caring for your skin. Find out why below!
