Anne Imhof’s “Faust” is going to be an album

Berlin-based record label Pan is releasing Anne Imhof’s “Faust” in album form this September.

Anne Imhof’s performance piece “Faust” won the Golden Lion at the 2017 Venice Biennale.

According to Pan, the album is “part documentation and part elaboration, the sonic capture and extrapolation of the gestures, intensities, and durations of the live event.”

The album will also come with a photography booklet by Nadine Fraczkowski, featuring images of the performance and portraits of the cast.

“Faust” will be released as 2xLP, CD, and digital on September 13.
