I always look forward to Fashion Week as it showcases upcoming trends and also sheds light on both influential designers and the newcomers to watch. One designer I’ve come to admire is Ulla Johnson for her distinct taste and the visible craftsmanship behind each piece she creates.
She started her New York-based brand in 2000, which grew organically and without much fanfare. She simply (and successfully) let the clothes speak for themselves. As her clothes continue to look effortless yet meticulously handmade, her brand has expanded its categories to include shoes, handbags, and other accessories.
For this season, she showcases yet another spirited collection filled with vibrant colors, prints, and unique textures — from gauzy plaid dresses to voluminous frocks replete with ruffles and a touch of boho. Keep scrolling for some backstage snaps of her collection.
