Skincare sleuth: The pre-ball treatments of Liza Soberano, Anne Curtis, and Piolo Pascual

One trick I learned over the weekend in the middle of the craziness that is the ABS-CBN Ball 2019: Prioritize your skincare first.

Before stars like Kira Balinger, Jane De Leon, Liza Soberano, and Anne Curtis sat in the makeup chair and donned their custom designer gowns, they headed over to the Belo Beauty Suite at Shangri-la the Fort.

As a special treat to their favorite clients, Belo Medical set up shop conveniently where the ball was to offer skincare treatments hours before the event. This helped the celebrities look their A plus for the night without hassle.

The special menu offered up also served as my cheat sheet on what should one get before a big occasion. There’s the Cinderella Drip for radiant skin and Enhanced Supervitamin Drip which also gives extra energy. Since these artists clock in early mornings and late nights for tapings and shoots, Belo services were specifically ones that have instant results.

Maymay Entrata and Dimples Romana dropped by for the Glass Skin Facial, which stimulates collagen production for that naturally highlighted effect. Marie Steller got the Crystalle Glass Mask for deep exfoliation. Daniela Stranner, Enrique Gil, and Piolo Pascual all got a Salt Facial, a new addition to Belo Medical’s services which harness the power of salt to hydrate and rejuvenate the face.

In between, Belo doctors, including Dr. Victoria Belo and Dr. Hayden Kho, were around to advise which treatments to get for that personalized service.

Other popular picks were the Skin Reboot which Heaven Peralejo had also done on her arms, key for the sleeveless dress. Cryoslush, which looks very Instagram Story friendly as it uses an ice mist popsicle to reduce oiliness was the treatment of choice for Anne Curtis, Jane De Leon, Vivoree, and Loisa Andalio. Barbie Imperial and Inigo Pascual opted for the LuminovitaGlow, a three-step facial for a fresher look.

Of course, the pampering wasn’t just about the skin treatments. The Belo Beauty Suite also has a chill-out area, decked with Kenneth Cobonpue x Star Wars furniture. Here, the stars could have a breather and a moment to themselves plus a snack (all Filipino favorites like bibingka and puto bumbong, to suit the theme of the ball) and enjoy some Gypsy Rose frosé. Giveaways included a cute holographic makeup bag and a comfy Belo hoodie which was customized with a digital printer.

To top this off, Belo Medical awarded the “Belo Beauty On The Rise” citation to Jane De Leon. She donated the prize money to Bantay Bata’s Bantay Edukasyon. Ain’t that a true beauty?
