As Paris Fashion Week is expected to wrap up in a few days, bringing one of fashion’s most significant events to a close, we’ve culled the latest from the runways of New York, London, and Milan. One thing’s for sure, Spring/Summer 2020’s major beauty looks are all about highlighting your peepers. Keep scrolling to find a look that catches your eye.😉
#1 INKY
At 3.1 Phillip Lim, makeup artist Diane Kendal with UZ created heavily lined lids for a sultry yet ultra-modern look. At Halpern, makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench went for some glittery black eye shadow for a retro look that’s reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour.
# 2 GRAPHIC
Spring 2020 brings you the new cat-eye (a wayward and more graphic eyeliner). At Helmut Lang, makeup artist Susie Sobol went for square-shaped and neon to go with a collection that screamed punk. At Matty Bovan, makeup artist Miranda Joyce capped off deconstructed eyeliner looks with hints of metallic. Acid hues and an eighties/futuristic vibe at Jeremy Scott were complemented by vibrant wigs and winged eyeliners by legendary makeup artist Kabuki.
#3 MULTICOLORED
From smudged to color blocking, Spring 2020 will have you experimenting with colors. Makeup artist Diane Kendal served up subtle tonal looks at Jason Wu, while makeup artist Fara Homidi created bold, geometric looks for Salvatore Ferragamo.
#4 WHIMSICAL WHITE
Eyeliner is a must and Spring 2020 calls for white lines — from streaks to pretty swirls. At Simone Rocha, where masculine and raw touches were added to the designer’s usual feminine aesthetic, wisps of white eyeliner provided an interesting touch. At Anna Sui, renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath gave her take on Victoriana with abstract lines layered over fuchsia and lemon shades. Cynthia Rowley‘s collection was nothing short of playful as models wore frocks featuring printed images from Dr. Seuss’ books and eye makeup shaped like clouds.
#5 METALLIC
At House of Holland, makeup artist Dominic Skinner created a dewy mix of silver with pink, purple, lime and yellow. At Pyer Moss, makeup artist Daniel Sallstrom created blown-out metallic shadows, bringing some ’70s glam rock vibe. At Marc Jacobs, makeup artist Pat McGrath showcased various looks — from bedazzled and colorful to graphic and subdued. Fendi proves that a little shimmer goes a long way as makeup artist Peter Philips gave models a healthy glow with specs of metallic glitter.
#6 BARELY THERE
At Oscar de la Renta, beauty was served with both natural and exuberant looks through neon eyeshadows and pale hues for a more subdued combo. Victoria Beckham also went for an effortless, au naturel vibe save for an unexpected graphic liner by Pat McGrath. At Prada, Pat McGrath went for a bold look for some models with black wet eyeshadow and only clean skin and no mascara for others.
