SM Supermalls kicked off the 100-day Christmas countdown at SM Aura, Tuesday, rolling out new events and activities to light up the holiday season.

To start the Yuletide Season, SM Supermalls launched its annual 100 Days to Christmas countdown which will feature exclusive holiday activities, promos, and surprises from September to December 2019. SM also kicked off its Christmas Bears of Joy and #DearSMSanta, both centered on the spirit of giving. Dubbed “Sparkling SM Mallidays,” the series of events highlight the Christmas season as a time of giving, fun, and reunions for families and friends, with SM being a part of the holiday tradition for Filipinos.

SM chief operating officer Steven Tan led the program with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, followed by musical performances from the Mandaluyong Children’s Choir and the renowned balladeer and “Philippine voice of Christmas,” Jose Mari Chan.

Starting September, shoppers may get their holiday Christmas baskets starting at P350 at SM Markets, with SM’s Christmas Gift Ideas. From October 1, an awesome selection of gifts as low as P99 will be available at Watsons.

With Holiday Deals, there will be 50% off on children’s wear, shoes, accessories, and toys at SM stores from October 1 to 31. Pre-Holiday Sale also starts from October 25 to November 3, where shoppers can get up to 70% discount on their Christmas outfits.

SM Supermalls also introduced their partnership with Spotify by curating SM Supermalls Christmas Playlist, a playlist featuring classic and well-loved Christmas songs, including SM’s new Christmas jingle, “SM Mallidays.”

To complete children’s Christmas wishes, SM launched Dear SM Santa, where kids get a chance to write emails to Santa for Christmas gifts. 60 lucky winners will be announced on or before December 16, 2019.

Finally, SM Supermalls encourage the Spirit of Giving by letting shoppers get SM Bears of Joy. For P200, you can get two SM Bears – one you can keep, while the other one will be donated to SM’s chosen charity institution.

SM COO Steven Tan SM summed up this year’s goals for the events, highlighting the longest Christmas tradition as distinctly Filipino.

“We, Filipinos, have the longest Christmas celebration in the world, and these events aim to reflect that kind of fun vibe and holiday spirit,” Tan said.
