Auctioneering is all about relationships, plus some performance art thrown in. On Oct. 12 at the Red Charity Gala, Tim Yap and I will be auctioning off a limited yet exciting bunch of auction packages. Expect us to use every trick in the book to extract the highest bids from guests. And as always, proceeds go to entirely to our charities, the Philippine Red Cross and Assumption HS ’81 Foundation.

The 11th Red Charity Gala will feature all 10 of our past designers, presented in chronological order, on one giant stage at the ballroom of the Shangri-La at the Fort. The show is presented by Bench and IAM Worldwide; we are grateful to all our major sponsors and auction sponsors.

Here are some of the exciting auction packages. Globe Platinum will be giving a one-year subscription to their new “The Platinum Plan” with the iPhone 11 Pro Max 64 GB. We are bundling this awesome package with a stunning jewelry piece from Chow Tai Fook.

The 2019 Royal Gem x Love Marie Jewelry Collection is inspired by the different facets of the modern woman. Designed by Heart Evangelista, the five pieces to be auctioned off are the Tres Marias conch shell pendant/brooch, Ponder conch shell pendant/brooch, five-pendant Beatriz charm bracelet, golden Italian gold vintage pendant, and In Full Bloom Italian gold round pendant.

 

Travel packages

To complete this package, we are including a two-night stay in a Premier Suite at The Bellevue Manila and a two-night stay in a Bellevue Suite at The Bellevue Resort in Bohol.

For those looking for travel packages, we are auctioning off several Japan trips. We have eight Air Asia trip tickets to Osaka, Japan. Also up is a Hokkaido vacation package from Hokkaido Tracks for a five- to seven-day stay, on Feb. 21-27, 2020, for the best powder skiing.

Bernhardt, the luxury furniture company, once again joins the auction with the crisp, elegant and modern Somerset dining table, Tahlia leather chairs and Althea round chairside table by Bernhardt Furniture, valued at over P1.2 million. The Somerset dining table features a cast aluminum base, plated metal leaves in silver leaf finish, and a clear glass top. Ultherapy packages

Celebrating their 60th year, New Creation Manufacturing began Canadian in 1959. They held a grand celebration during their annual trade show at the Solaire Tent last month.

Leukemia awareness

RCG is also supporting Erwin Piedad Cabanag Adult Leukemia Ministries, better known as Epcalm. They celebrated World Leukemia Awareness Month last week at Mega Fashion Hall of SM Megamall. Founded by Dr. Erlyn Cabanag Demerre, the program helps to spread awareness about leukemia. Top host Boy Abunda hosted the live forum attended by celebrity supporters like Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez.

The event launched the book “Color of Hope,” and a photo exhibit by top photographer Mark Nicdao. “Color of Hope” tells the stories of Filipino leukemia patients who have overcome the disease, and those who are still struggling. The book was printed by ABS-CBN Publishing, with the support of SM Malls’ COO Steven Tan, and Kingson Sian, president and COO of Resorts World Manila.
