National Geographic has partnered with P&G and Global Citizen, an international organization composed of engaged citizens who are using their collective voice to end extreme poverty by 2030, for “NatGeo: Activate,” a six-part mini-series that spotlights the issues of poverty, improper solid waste management, criminal injustices, and natural disasters that have impacted countries around the globe. With the series, P&G, National Geographic and Global Citizen are leveraging our combined influence, audience and scale to deliver timely, powerful stories and calls-to-action that will shine a light on the most pressing issues.
The episode we are pre-screening was shot in the cities in the Philippines and educates viewers on improper solid waste management and the critical importance of all stakeholders collaborating to address this complex problem sustainably and holistically. We believe partnering positively with the government, private sector/ industry, retail, non-profit sector, and consumers is imperative.
It is our honor to invite you to this first-of-a-kind event, given your credible and action-oriented initiatives as a media platform. We hope this opportunity will just be the start of our company’s collaboration with you as we tackle the sustainability agenda and help many Filipino communities.
Over the last 84 years, we have had the honor of bringing to life our mission of touching and improving more Filipino lives. We do this primarily through our brands, which provide the best value in consumer goods for Filipinos. Beyond this, P&G continues to be a force for good and a force for growth where we create and inspire a positive impact on the environment and communities while creating value for its brands, supply chain, employees, and society.
