Ben Brown Fine Arts participated for the fifth year in West Bund Art & Design in Shanghai, which took place from 7-10 November, 2019.
Presented was a carefully curated selection of modern and contemporary paintings and sculptures by significant Western artists including Frank Auerbach, Miquel Barceló, Georg Baselitz, Tony Bevan, Yoan Capote, Claude and François-Xavier Lalanne, José Parlá and Gerhard Richter.
Highlights of the booth include Barceló’s vibrant monochromatic, organically textured work, Jaune avec Trous (2002-2003); Baselitz’s abstracted snow scene created with metallic pigments, Schneeroman (2003); Richter’s jewel-coloured, intricately layered Abstract Painting (1992); and new paintings from Parlá’s highly acclaimed Textures of Memory exhibitions in Hong Kong.
