The Fernans may be among the biggest clans in Cebu, but this prominent family can prove to be the coziest on special occasions, its familial ties perfect for chill moments.
That was exactly the vibe when retail executive Marissa Fernan hosted a bridal shower for her niece, Giorgia Guidicelli, who will be wed to Ian Dato, Dec. 8 in Cebu.
It was an intimate dinner Fernan hosted in the family residence in Cebu two weekends ago, attended by the immediate family.
Giorgia is the only daughter of Gianluca and Glenna Guidicelli, a business clan in Cebu founded by Gianluca’s father who resettled in the country from Italy. Glenna is a Fernan.
People, however, know Giorgia as Matteo Guidicelli’s sister. The well-loved actor/car racer and now soldier is close to his siblings Giorgia and Paolo. Giorgia helps run the family’s businesses in Cebu and in Alabang, the Da Gianni Italian restaurant.
Dato is a lawyer already making a name in the profession.
