The opening of the new Belo medical clinic at One Bonifacio High Street in Taguig heralded more than just a new location for the dermatology and surgical center. It was a declaration of how the Belo Medical Group is entering its #NewPhaseNewFace.
Gracing the occasion were celebrities including Marian Rivera, Gabbi Garcia, Maymay Entrata, Georgina Wilson and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
Gian Magdangal performed a musical number.
The event also served as the grand reveal of the newest #BeloBaby, Jane de Leon. The latest actress to play Darna said she’s a fan of Belo’s salt facials, among other treatments that are part of her preparations for the Darna role.
As cocktails were served, guests played with Belo Glass Skin Filter for Instagram Stories.
Dr. Vicki Belo said that her clinic was part of her dream-turned-reality: “It was always my mission to make the Philippines a top destination for medical tourism.”
Thirty years ago, this concept might have sounded crazy, she said. What she imagined is now tangible in every aspect of her company.
The Belo Medical Group is the only Filipino ambulatory aesthetic dermatology and surgery clinic certified by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Health Care Providers International.
“We had to meet 420 items in the criteria,” Dr. Belo said.
The clinic also regularly welcomes international personalities, many of whom come to the Philippines to get the expert touch of Belo.
Elevated experience
Its newest location in BGC, along with upcoming branches in Ayala Malls Manila Bay and SM Megamall, elevates the experience of a clinic. It’s a welcoming space, akin to someone’s luxurious home or a hotel.
This was made possible by Budji + Royal Architecture + Design.
Architect Royal Pineda said the collaboration is an unbeatable match. “Budji + Royal is an advocate of modern Filipino sensibilities, while Belo is out to define the modern Filipino aesthetic when it comes to its services.”
Highlighting space, light and comfort, Pineda focused on maaliwalasfor the new Belo clinic. “There’s no term for it in any language, it’s a Filipino concept,” he said.
Add to this the special furniture designed by Budji + Royal, named after Dr. Belo, Dr. Hayden Kho, and their daughter Scarlet Snow Belo, as well as the pieces by renowned Filipino designer Kenneth Cobonpue.
Beyond that, Belo is always a step ahead in innovation. Dr. Belo said the clinic has partnered with the Department of Tourism for medical tourism.
Belo at One Bonifacio High Street is also the only clinic in Southeast Asia to be Pure-certified, which means their patients breathe in clean, pure air with specialized Hepa air purifiers.
Watch out for the Belo AIQ (Aesthetic Interest Questionnaire), which will allow patients to express their concerns online. This check-in program shortens waiting time and further customizes Belo treatments for every patient.
Belo Shops, where patients can get their prescribed products, are also in the works.
This is but a sampling of what’s to come for the clinic. Dr. Belo put it best: “Belo just doesn’t adapt to the future, we are the future.”
