Gazini Ganados fears not expressing emotions well in English

MANILA, Philippines — Philippines’ Miss Universe 2019 bet Gazini Ganados opened up about her fear about the pageant, admitting she may not be able to express her feelings well in English.

In a video posted by Miss Universe on Twitter Monday, Ganados and Miss Universe Netherlands Sharon Pieksma shared their fears in the competition.

“Today I feel like I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. There are days where you feel like you’re not doing enough at all. And I’m thinking all about, you know, the speech that we’re gonna do,” Ganados said.

“What I’m scared the most is to not be able to share my emotions or my feelings in English language,” she added.

Pieksma agreed with Ganados, saying “Yeah, yeah, I have the same problem.”

Ganados, a 23-year-old Filipno-Palestinian beauty from Cebu, is eyeing a back-to-back win for the Philippines after Catriona Gray won last year.

Reigning Miss Universe Gray will be passing on the title at the crowning ceremony happening Monday in Atlanta, Georgia. #
