After Miss Universe reign, Catriona Gray sets eye on music

MANILA, Philippines — Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray is back in the country and said she is excited to finally pursue her lifelong dream — a career in music.

“I was saying to Erickson [Raymundo of Cornerstone Entertainment] kanina na (earlier) that there were so many years since I was maybe 18 years old that I’ve always been dreaming about pursuing music and always getting put off or push to the side,” Gray said in a video interview by ABS-CBN.

“Actually now that I get to pursue it, oh my goodness, it’s like another dream that I’ll be able to see in my views. I’m very excited,” she added.

Cornerstone Entertainment appeared to be equally excited.

In an Instagram post, it announced that it will be working with the beauty queen.

“Our journey together starts today! We are very much excited and happy to welcome you to our growing family! We can’t wait to celebrate with our Queen, Miss Universe 2018 @catriona_gray,” the agency wrote.

Gray, known for her volunteer work even before joining pageants, said she is eyeing to hold benefit concerts for the organizations she has partnered with.

“I really, really look forward to putting together my two passions, which are charity work and music,” Gray said.

“Perhaps, we will have some benefit concerts in the near future. I would really, really love to do that to benefit charities I’ve been working with and also be able to travel and perform for our kababayan abroad,” she continued.

Gray relinquished her title on Monday to 2019 Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa.
