Miss Universe Indonesia 2019 beams with pride as first from her country to enter Top 10

MANILA, Philippines — Despite not clinching the title as Miss Universe 2019, Indonesia’s bet Frederika Cull still takes pride of her stint in joining the coveted pageant.

Cull, 20, took to Instagram to express pride over becoming the first representative from Indonesia to advance to the competition’s Top 10.

“I am proud to say that I am the first Indonesian to make it into the top 10 at Miss Universe,” Cull wrote Friday in an Instagram post. “As one of the youngest women in Miss Universe, I know that I had to prove that I belonged there surrounded by amazing, inspirational women.”

Cull said she hopes to be a role model for women and advised her followers to never stop chasing their dreams.

“I have always liked challenging myself and preparing for Miss Universe 2019 has been my biggest challenge yet, overcoming my personal fears and insecurities is something every woman can relate to and I hope to be able to become a beacon for young women around the world,” Cull said.

“When you have a dream, don’t let anything stop you from believing that you can achieve it,” she continued.

Cull was among the Miss Universe 2019’s Top 10 candidates alongside bets from USA, Colombia, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Peru, Iceland, France, Thailand and Mexico.

South Africa’s Zozibini was crowned as Miss Universe 2019 by the Philippines’ Catriona Gray.
