Japanese envoy’s home transforms into traditional sushi kitchen

Ihoko Haneda of Japan, Louie Locsin and Monaco Consul General Fortune Aleta Ledesma

Ihoko Haneda, spouse of Japanese Ambassador Koji Haneda, recently hosted a Japanese food demonstration by chef Daisuke Suzuki, awarded the 2019 Foreign Minister’s Commendation for Excellent Executive Chefs.

Sampling Suzuki’s dishes, diners gained a better understanding of the hard work that goes into Japanese cuisine.

A few lucky attendees were given a chance to try making sushi, which was a new experience for most. The residence of the Japanese ambassador was filled with happy guests who enjoyed the opportunity to try traditional Japanese cooking.
