Why ‘good vibes’ can truly mean good health

As the new year comes, it will augur well for us to cast away all bitterness, frustrations, jealousy, envy, vindictiveness and other negative emotions we may have had in 2019, and fill our heart and mind with gratitude, love, compassion and positive expectations for 2020.

Philippine leaders can do the country a big service by inspiring the citizenry to be more positive in their attitude toward others. Just like the orchestra conductor, a leader sets the emotional tone which the people they lead consciously or unconsciously adopt and integrate into their way of life.

If an atmosphere of resentment, intolerance and vindictiveness is sensed by the people, there will be more divisiveness, animosity and distrust in the way people deal with each other.

Tamarind trees don’t bear mango fruits. And when we sow wind, we reap a whirlwind.

Positive or negative energy

Quantum physicists tell us that our thoughts and emotions draw either positive or negative energy, which can impact the vast quantum field through the vibrations they emit.

It’s not just a metaphor when we say that some people, things or events give us either positive or negative vibes. Depending on how we react, our thoughts and emotions emit specific vibrations that can cause similar vibe effects. And as we think and believe, so it shall be.

If we want to raise our vibrations to attract positive things into our lives like good health, abundance and peace of mind, we must fill ourselves with high-vibration thoughts and emotions like love, compassion, kindness, temperance and gratitude.

Negative thoughts and emotions generate a lot of stress in our body, which has been implicated as a major culprit that causes heart disease, and metabolic problems like diabetes and even cancer.

Experts say that up to 80 percent or eight out of 10 medical problems are actually caused by stress. That’s why disease is actually “dis-ease” or a state of sustained stress.

When we raise our vibrations, we liberate ourselves from the strangling hold that chronic stress has on us. The result is better health, more restful sleep at night, more peace of mind, healthier relationships and a more abundant life.

Low-vibration consequences

Sometimes we marvel why positive-minded people seem to be lucky in everything they undertake. It’s not just coincidental good luck. They attracted it with their positive frame of mind, while negative-minded people will tend to attract similar low-vibration consequences like poor health, accidents, failed relationships and failure.

It may seem ludicrous but, yes, we can also attract earthquakes, supertyphoons and other natural calamities. If we believe that we’re all part of a vast quantum field where all possibilities exist, then we can indeed cause anything in this energy-unified universe to happen.

This may sound like the boy who cried wolf, but I believe the data emerging is supporting this. The upside is that if thoughts and emotions can cause disease, misfortunes and calamities, tweaking them to become positive can prevent or heal diseases, and generate material abundance. If we’re talking of the national consciousness, that will mean peace and progress.

We’ve known it all along that we create our own destiny, individually and as a nation. It’s not only by working furiously, because this can be futile, at the expense of health and relationships.

It all starts with the conscious effort to allow only positive thoughts in our minds and uplifting emotions in our hearts.

We wish you a healthier and more abundant year ahead. God bless our nation, too, in 2020.
