Awards shows like the Golden Globes bring about winners, big moments, and, of course, fashion trends that we’ll be sending photos of via DM.

At your service, today is us, the Lifestyle staff, in choosing what we loved about the red carpet. Leave us a comment down below if you agree or disagree, and who are your picks for the season.

Cate Blanchett in Mary Katrantzou

Top of our picks for the 77th Golden Globes is Ms. Blanchett in this Mary Katrantzou creation. Points for the yummy yellow color and, of course, how this piece which features pleats on the sleeve and a glittery centerpiece is hard to pull off. But are we really surprised that Cate pulled this off?

Zoe Kravitz  in Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello

Did Zoey Kravitz or designer Anthony Vacarrello get the memo that polka dots reign in good luck for the new year? Jokes and superstitions aside, this custom piece is fun and fresh. Something one can do when in a dilemma what to wear to a big ball as well with your best separates.

Jennifer Aniston in Dior Haute Couture

Personally, this is a favorite because of how simple it is. Isn’t pulling off something simple without being boring quite hard? It’s a balance of knowing which details will make the most impact: the tiny belt to make sure there is a silhouette, the ruffles to balance out the top with the bottom part of the dress, and the choice of a classic statement necklace.

Nicole Kidman in Atelier Versace

We had to include Nicole Kidman because undoubtedly, she’s one of the best dressed. The look, however, is nothing new or daring. Maybe though if you reach a certain status in life, you just stick to what you know works.

Zoey Deutch in Fendi

Can‘t say anything bad about this. It screams too cool for the red carpet all over. At best, we will use the hands up in the air emoji to express how this is a good look. That is all.

Kaitlyn Dever in Valentino

I‘m a sucker for a printed dress especially when you can pull it off at an event like this. It’s looks both unexpected but just right. Note how the loud pint was pared back with minimal jewelry and a simple hairdo.
