Tianyu Group’s donations benefit more than 1000 families affected by Taal Volcano eruption

With the assistance of the Chinese government, more than 80,000 victims affected by the eruption of Taal Volcano have been evacuated from the disaster area to numerous resettlement areas since January 17.

As a well-known entertainment group serving Chinese world-wide, Tianyu Technology Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Tianyu Group), which is headquartered in Manila, Philippines, contacted the local community as soon as it was informed of the volcanic disaster.

Tianyu Group launched a donation campaign in coordination with the Makati, Pasay and Paranaque Police Stations.

Volcanic ash and steam were sprayed into the sky, threatening air traffic safety, and the surrounding residents were seriously affected by the volcanic ash.

As the Chinese saying goes, one in trouble, all will help. So, the Tianyu Group disaster relief team aligned with the Philippine National Police (PNP) in the early morning of January 19. From the Southern Police District headquarters, the relief team drove more than 100 kilometers to the shelter—Don Antonino Luancing Memorial Center Rosario East District.

The Batangas shelter accommodates about 4,000 victims, equivalent to 1,000 families. A large number of victims were waiting to receive relief. The rescue team and the Philippine police station kept drinking water in the hands of the masses. Throughout this donation, a series of assistance services were provided to the affected people. Makati Police Department Director Rogelio Pablo Simon said,’’  Disasters have no mercy, but humans do. We are very grateful to companies with a social responsibility such as Tianyu Group voluntarily join the rescue operation, proactively provide disaster relief stuffs. We hope that we can have more companies like Tianyu Group in Philippines “

Tianyu Group donated 5 gallons of drinking water to more than 1,000 families each in Batangas. It is worth mentioning that this donation for the volcano disaster caused a strong response from Filipino society.
